This trip takes 2.5-3 hours. I can’t recommend this enough. Really is worth every penny.

or catch them down the marina.
Funky Pink Boats:
This is a new business after starting where your can rent a boat and self drive and be your own captain. You can rent them for an hour or so and go around Dingle Bay/ Habour.
Dingle Electric Bikes:
This is probably my favourite way to do the Slea Head Drive. It’s a great experience and many back roads to be explored. Great opportunity to stop in Paidi Se’s and have a pint.
A trip to the blasket islands:
I would highly recommend a day trip (six hour round trip) at the very least to explore the amazing Blasket Islands. Some of the most amazing views in Ireland awaits if you get the chance to visit. Boats go daily from Dingle or Dunquin Pier.
The Dingle Distillery:
One of the biggest additions to the Dingle Peninsula over the last decade has to be the award winning Dingle distillery. The brand name has given the area further world recognition and the accolade of the best gin in the world, 2019. Although the distillery is world famous for its gin, they also produce whiskey and vodka on site. They offer great tours. A great idea for a rainy day.
Dick Mac’s Brewhouse:
Probably the most famous pub in Dingle. The pub is famous for its whiskey collection, accolades, snugs, beer garden and now their very own brewery. No trip to Dingle is now complete without a trip to Dick Mack's for a whiskey and one of their very own craft beers with a variety of flavours to choose from.
If you would like to go one step further and learn more about the craft of making their very own beer you can book online through their website for an exclusive tour of the facility.
Oceanworld:
Bringing a young family to Dingle? Look no further than a trip to the Dingle Aquarium where you can check out animals from all around the world which is sure to keep the young kids entertained. From Penguins to sharks there is an incredible array of wildlife on offer for all ages.
Sandy’s Pet Farm is very good for children and only a 30 min drive from Dingle.
Dingle Pitch & Putt:
A hidden gem for a family activity along the Dingle Peninsula is Dingle Pitch & Putt. Can be seen from the house, just across the water so a short stroll 5 mins. Boasting an 18 hole par three course, 12 holes of soccer golf and a mini golf course there is an activity suited to all age groups.
Kayaking:
If you are looking for something a bit more adventurous look no further then sea kayaking in Dingle Bay with Irish Adventures. Taking you on a tour of the harbour you will get to explore the best it has to offer.
Seaview Equestrian:
Located in Ballydavid, about a 6 minute drive from the house. This small family run riding centre offers pony rides for children as well as treks for adults. The trek into “The Valley” is breaktaking and the views of Mt Brandon are incredible.
Sonas Sauna Ventry:
Just opened, located just near the main car park for Ventry Beach. A small but quirky Sauna. €15 for 45 mins (prices may change so check their Instagram). Booking and more information on their Instagram page. A lovely place to go and enjoy and go for a dip in Ventry Beach afterwards. Close to Páidí Sé’s too which do unreal food. Make a day out of it!
Kingdom Falconry, an intimate encounter with beautiful birds of prey located at Milltown house which is just across the water or a 5/6 minute walk from the house. This has to be pre booked and can be done on their website.
Hiking:
The Dingle Peninsula has some of the best hikes in the world. Views that are absolutely breathtaking. So bring your hiking boots with you.
Mt Brandon:
Measuring at 934 m (3064 feet), Mount Brandon is the second highest mountain in Ireland and is worth every step. There are 13 stations of the cross on route to the summit with number 14 located on the very top. On a clear day Mount Brandon has some breath-taking views of the Blasket Islands, Mount Eagle and even An Fhear Marbh but be mindful to check the weather before attempting to climb. Roughly would take 4 hours to complete.
Eask Tower:
This tower can be seen from the house directly across the bay. One way to view Dingle from a completely alternative perspective. Eask Tower is a historical landmark that was built in 1847 and was utilised to guide boats into the harbour. As you can imagine it has one of the best vantage points of Dingle town from one end and of the Atlantic Ocean overlooking South Kerry from the other. Takes 30 mins.
Cruach Mhárthain:
My favourite hike! This trail is short and sweet but worth it for the incredible 360 panoramic views. It is a steep climb that is not for the faint-hearted! Parking is available at the phone tower. You will already have great views of Dunquin and the Blasket Islands from here. This trail is spectacular for sunrise or sunset. Enjoy!
Gleannteenassig Forest Park
The ultimate family adventure location about 30mins from Dingle. Nestled in a sheltered valley among the Slieve Mish mountains, the landscape is imposing and inspiring. To reach it you need to step off the beaten track, travel up the valley and feel the remoteness of the mountains. Behind the trees the area is full of streams, lakes, waterfalls and dramatic cliffs which characterise this untamed landscape.
Eat, drink & socialise:
Almost too many places to list.
For the coffee lovers: Bean in Dingle, My Boy Blue, Seed and Soul and The Hatch.
Fish & Chips: the freshest of fish you will ever get. The Fish Box, The Anchor Down or Dingle Reel.
Gastropubs: James Long’s & Paul Geaney’s. Paidí Ó Sé’s Ventry(the best fish tacos that you will ever have).
Pubs for the craic: Paddy Bawns, Dick Macs, Foxys and Currans. Sayers back in Ballyferriter.
Best beer garden: Bob Griffins, Foxy John’s & An Droichead Beag.
Healthy Options: Thyme Out & Seed and Soul.
Fine Dining: Doyle’s (amazing), Ashe’s, Lord Bakers and Solas. Solas is the only tapas bar in Dingle. Please be aware that these are expensive.
