Our Story

Our Story

We had our first date on 04 March 2020 and at the time, both of our lives were going through a transition. But this is not a story about the past. It’s about a future of love, happiness and companionship that neither of us ever expected. I was at my daughter’s track meet at Jensen Beach High School, and I received a message on Facebook from Anne Warner. I had recently friend requested her. I was going on beach walks in the evening while I was sorting out my emotions and just hitting the reset button. For a few months, I would park at bathtub beach and walk to the inlet. Everything about these walks was therapeutic. My next walk would be with Anne.

As God would have it, as soon as I declared that I was ready to love again, Anne Warner entered my life. We spent our first awkward date at Papa Chulos and then went for a walk on the beach by the Jupiter Inlet. We have talked every day since. After our first date we continued to text each other that night and at the end of our exchange, I simply wrote….” Anne Warner, where did you come from.” I was going to get to know her and explore my feelings and see if she was also curious about me.

We discovered our shared passion for travelling, pets, our kids, and just hanging around the home in our house sweats! We realized that we loved each other. The funny thing about our romance was that right after we were officially dating two things happened. First, Anne tried to break up with me. She was overcome by the suddenness of our love and tried to step away. I told her that she didn’t know me well enough to break up with me yet. I shared that I was far from perfect, but she could trust me and my intentions. Our breakup lasted for about 4 hours. Second, COVID happened. I felt that during the COVID pandemic, or at least the first few months, the world slowed down just long enough for us to get our footing and build the foundation for our relationship.

The blessings that have come into my world since I met Anne are too numerous to list. In short, I told her that I didn’t want to be her boyfriend anymore. I wanted to be her husband.

We are excited to share our wedding with friends and family and can’t wait to see you in Dingle!
